EIFS or ETICS (as it is called in Europe), is a complete wall insulating composite system, which is made up of multiple layers and uses many components to ensure a well insulated and moisture seepage preventing building walls and openings (doors / windows). The multiple layers are shown in the adjoining drawing. Proper thermal design of the layers can prevent any condensation seepages into air conditioned building walls. The exterior insulation layer ensures that the daily expansion (due to solar heat) of different building materials making the walls, to different extent and their subsequent contraction at night, does not age the building through micro crack formation. Thus the buildings with Reliable EIFS protection do not grow old and require minimal maintenance.
